MS Bordeaux

Day 1 Arrival in Libourne/Fronsac, bike tour 10-15 km/6-9 mi
Transfer to the boat from Bordeaux train station around 2 p.m. upon request. Short bike tour around the village.

Day 2 Round trip around St. Émilion and Pomerol, 35-50 km/22-31 mi, boat trip
In the morning, you will explore the regional markets in Libourne’s historical town centre, then you will cycle through the surrounding area, which is protected as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Day 3 Round trip around Bourg, 35-50 km/22-31 mi
The wine region Côtes de Blaye is a true hidden gem, the fortress Citadelle de Vauban is worth visting.

Day 4 Boat trip, Lamarque - Margaux, approx. 40 km/25 mi, boat trip
Bike tour through the Médoc wine region, many options for wine tasting. Overnight stay in Bordeaux.

Day 5 Bordeaux, approx. 15 km/9 mi and stroll through the city, boat trip

The booking process

The Tour



  • The MS Bordeaux is berthed in Fronsac opposite Libourne.
    Optional transfer to and from the boat (has to be requested when booking):
    2 p.m. from Bordeaux train station, 9 a.m. from the boat, duration approx. 1 hour.
  • Arrival by car:
    to Bordeaux:
    Numerous guarded parking spots in Bordeaux, approx. EUR 80-135/week, no reservation possible, payable on site.
    to Libourne:
    parking space at the train sation, approx. EUR 40/week
  • Arrival by train:
    Bordeaux Saint Jean train station
    Libourne train station, approx. 2 km to the hythe
  • Arrival by plane:
    Bordeaux Merignac Airport
    "Navette Shuttle" Airport - Saint Jean train station, ever hour, duration approx. 30 min, approx. EUR 7,20
  • Embarkation from 3 p.m., luggage can be left from 1 p.m.

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.

Please note:
As is the case with all boat trips, changes in travel itineraries due to the weather, the rivers’ water levels or technical issues can be undertaken at any time.
