Seine and Loing by Boat & Bike

On this tour, you’ll get to explore the regions to the left and right of the Seine, where famous artists found their inspiration, as well as the French capital of Paris. Let yourself be encapsulated by this magical region, full of great food and drink, enhanced by the friendly crew on the MS Fleur. This tour through Île-de-France is suitable for novice and expert cyclists alike. The tour commences in Montargis.

Seine and Loing by Boat & Bike - MS Fleur

Day 1 Arrival in Montargis
Embarkation starts at 2 pm. You will be welcomed with a cocktail on board, followed by a briefing session on the tours in the following days.

Day 2 Round tour in Montargis, approx. 45 km / 27 mi
Today’s tour includes a bee-keeping excursion and a visit to the Chateau-Renard, a 10th-century castle.

Day 3 Montargis - Néronville, approx. 25-43 km / 16-26 mi
Having traversed the medieval towns of Ferriéres and Egréville and a brief detour to the “Jardin Bourdelle”, you’ll reach the rural town of Néronville.

Day 4 Néronville - Nemours, 24-40 km / 15-25 mi
Today, we’ve scheduled a guided tour through the romantic castle Chateau-Landon.

Day 5 Nemours - Moret-sur-Loing, 24-45 km / 15-28 mi
Today’s stage leads through the Seine valley, through Grez-sur-Loing to Moret, a medieval fort town where Alfred Sisley lived and worked.

Day 6 Moret-sur-Loing - Melun, 40 km / 25 mi
The forests around Fontainebleau are the centrepiece of today’s itinerary, as well as the artists’ village of Barbizon.

Day 7 Melun-Paris, 31 km / 19 mi 
Today, you can look forward to a brief cycling tour to the locks of Evry. From here, the ship will take you onwards to Paris, where we’ve scheduled a city tour in the evening.

Day 8 Departure
After breakfast, your tour along the Seine by Boat & Bike aboard MS Fleur is sadly already coming to an end.

The booking process

The Tour



  • Arrival by car:
    Parking Pâtis: 1 Boulevard Anatole France, unguarded parking near the pier. (max. height 1,80 m!/ 5,9 ft..)
    Parking Hôtel de Ville: 41 Rue Gambetta, Distance about 12 minutes on foot from the pier.

    Please go first to the ship to drop off your luggage and if necessary your bicycle, then to the parking lot.
  • Arrival by train:
    Train station Montargis
    Distance to the pier approx. 1.5 km / 0,9 mi. We recommend you take a taxi
  • Arrival by plane:
    Airport Charles de Gaulle, Paris. By bus (Le Bus Direct nr. 4) to the train station Gare de Lyon, from there by train.
    Or by train, duration aprox. 3 hrs, 2x changes, normal fee aprox. EUR 42.
  • Embarkation from 2 pm, you can drop your luggage from 11 am.
  • Return transfer Paris Est - Montargis
    under your own steam by train, duration approx. 1.5 hours, no changes, normal price approx. EUR 21.

Due to capacity, it is only possible to carry your own bikes by prior arrangement.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.

As is the case with all boat trips, changes in travel itineraries due to the weather, the rivers’ water levels or technical issues can be undertaken at any time.
