MTB tour Kvarner Bay

Bright sunshine, deep blue water and excellent food - that is what you can expect at Croatia's Mediterranean coast. There are a lot of green islands in the Kvarner Bay: Rab, Krk, Cres and more, each with its own character. Let's grab your mountain bike to adventure, overcome obstacles and to test your limits. Over hill and dale, on natural paths and trails. With the azure sea as your constant companion, you will go uphill and downhill along winding trails.

This MTB tour in the Kvarner Bay is available in 2 difficult levels, which can be chosen daily: easy-medium or medium-difficult. The pace is determined by the MTB riders; those who want to ride an E-MTB are asked to be considerate. There is also the option to stay on board of the comfortable motor sailing boat MS Linda.

Our trip "Boat & Bike croatian Islands" takes place at the same time. If you have a partner or friend who prefers cycling to biking, you can spend your vacation together on this trip.

Day 1 Arrival + crossing Rabac, tour 10km/6mi, 200 hm
Embarkation between 1 and 1:30 pm, then boat crossing to Rabac and test ride in the Bike Skills Park.

Day 2 Cycle tour Labin, 25-32km/16-20mi, 500 hm
Transfer to Labin at an altitude of 300m, now it's downhill, over mostly easy trails and forest roads. Technically demanding along the coastline, with magnificent views of the sea. Crossing to Cres.

Day 3 Cycle tour Cres, 30-34km/19-21mi, 600-700 hm
From Cres, you climb the incline inland. On natural paths you will pass the legendary Vrana Lake, and finally a challenging trail to Martinšćica awaits you before your boat takes you to Mali Lošinj.

Day 4 Cycle tour Lošinj, 25-30km/16-19mi, 400-600 hm
Either cycle along the shore, along fragrant pine forests and bathing bays, or on crisp trails to the picturesque harbour town of Veli Lošinj. In the evening, cross over to the island of Ilovik.

Day 5 Cycle tour Rab, 33-37km/21-23mi, 550-700 hm
The Dundo Forest with its evergreen holm oaks awaits you. Roman paths, narrow promenades along the shore, but also stony, rocky ground offer variety. In the evening, explore the town of Rab, known for its 4 bell towers.

Day 6 Boat trip Island of Krk, 27km/17mi, 420 hm
The boat takes you to the island capital Krk, from here you bike through the forest to Punat, where gravel roads and rocky terrain await you.

Day 7 Cycle tour Island of Krk, 52km/32mi, 790 hm
Olive trees, stone walls, vineyards - at the end you cycle a little of the interior of the "golden island" of Krk. In the afternoon, you return to the coast to the muddy bay of Soline and from there to Omišalj. Back on board, your trip ends with a cozy evening.

Day 8 Disembarking and departure

Rental bicycles:

• We offer comfortable, full-suspension mountain bikes as fully or fully premium. Full suspension E-MTB's are available on request. Please note that the pace is designed for normal MTB's. If you ride the E-MTB, we ask you to be considerate.
• There is a helmet obligation on the part of the ship agency. We recommend using your own due to the variety of head sizes and shapes and for hygienic reasons. We additionally recommend wearing arm and leg protectors.

Arrival "MTB-Tour Kvarner Bay":

• Parking in Omišalj:
  Arrival at harbour at 1 pm, admission to enclosed car park (parking in Omišalj, must be booked together with the trip.), embarkation until 1:30 pm. At 2 pm boat crossing to Rabac.

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
